The Bureau of Labor Education supports Solidarity Harvest a program of Food and Medicine and the Eastern Maine Labor Council.
Solidarity harvest gathers, packs, and delivers boxes of food just before thanksgiving for laid off workers and their families throughout
Maine. Volunteers are needed at every stage of this process from setting up the food storage, to calling donors and packing the food.
Food storage preparation and donor phone banking are on-going projects and packaging will begin on November 12th!
Four donor phone banking shifts are still open:
Please contact the Bureau of Labor Education to volunteer.
Other opportunities will be available. Check back again soon!
