Volunteer Opportunities

Solidarity Harvest

The Bureau of Labor Education supports Solidarity Harvest, a program of Food and Medicine, and the Eastern Maine Labor Council.

Solidarity Harvest gathers, packs, and delivers boxes of food just before Thanksgiving for laid-off workers and their families throughout Maine. Volunteers are needed at every stage of this process from setting up the food storage to calling donors and packing the food.

Food storage preparation and donor phone bankings are ongoing projects and packaging begins in the Fall.
