Maine Sea Grant Seeking Proposals for Scallop Research, AP Reports

The Associated Press reported Maine Sea Grant is seeking proposals for research projects related to the nearshore scallop fishery in Maine.

The program is making money available for projects that emphasize cooperation between fishermen and scientists, with the goal of improving the management of Maine’s scallop fishery. Maine Sea Grant said it expects proposals will include requests for $2,000 to $10,000 in grant money. Proposals are due by June 16.
