Research Interests:  My research focuses on understanding patterns of biodiversity in response to environmental change. Broadly, I examine how gradients of environmental conditions interact with climate change and land use to affect species distributions across space. My current work leverages National Ecological Observatory Network Data to understand how land use affects biodiversity and species trait variation across the United States. Previously, I have used field experiments to disentangle the roles of species interactions and environmental variables for altering biodiversity via range shifts.
