Come Help at Maine Hello 2023
It’s hard to believe, but it’s already time to start thinking about new student move-in for the 2023-24 school year!
Each year hundreds of faculty, staff, students and alumni come together to welcome our newest students and their families into the UMaine community. This annual event, called Maine Hello, is an outstanding example of how we can work together to make sure that our students and their families feel they have made a great choice in UMaine.
Volunteers are vital to the success of Maine Hello, and we would love to have your help! Volunteers answer questions the new students and parents may have, provide directions around the campus, and generally offer up a hearty Maine Hello at each residence hall. Maine Hello is scheduled for Friday, August 25th from 8:00 am-4:00pm. Volunteers are generally assigned a 4-hour shift split into morning or afternoon, though you may choose to work longer. Volunteers are asked to attend one training sessions in August prior to the event (Zoom option available). Information about dates for these will be sent later in the summer.
