Thank you University Credit Union!!
The Ending Hunger on College Campuses campaign done by the University Credit Union and their members during December was amazingly successful! The Orono UCU branches collected a lot of food! Below is a picture of everything that was delivered to the Black Bear Exchange. We are so grateful for all of this food that can fill our shelves for the beginning of the semester. They also exceeded their goal of $5,000 raised from members statewide. We are presented with a check for just over $1,100 to help us obtain more food to support our campus community. With the $500 they gave us in December, that totals $1,600 from UCU! The best part is that 5 UMaine System campuses were able to receive the same support! Fort Kent, USM, Farmington, Presque Isle and us 🙂 Special thanks to Susan Crawford from the UMaine branch, who worked with me on this campaign. So many students from all over the State of Maine are going to benefit from the generosity of UCU and their members! Go Blue!
