Spring cleaning underway
We are conducting a “spring cleaning” of sorts with the websites of UMaine, UMaine Machias, and UMaine Cooperative Extension. We have identified web authors, editors and administrators who have not logged in for over 18 months, and will be removing those accounts on March 1, 2023. If anyone whose account is removed wishes to regain their access, we are happy to create a new account. It is a great reason to have a refresher on our WordPress training as well.
In March, we will be reaching out to campus stakeholders as we review websites that may have fallen into disuse.
If you have any questions or concerns that we may remove an account or website important to you, please reach out to us at um.weboffice@maine.edu and we can discuss options such as archiving temporarily or consulting on a revision/maintenance strategy.
