Theresa McMannus

Theresa McMannus is the Assistant Director of Events & Hospitality at the University of Maine. She has been a member of the staff since 2014.

Before joining E&H, McMannus was a long-time assistant for members of the central administration and deans at the University of Maine. This work included assisting with re-accreditation visits, academic conferences and department award receptions. She also served as a member of the dean’s administrative team.

As a lifelong learner, McMannus completed her bachelor’s degree in University Studies with a concentration in Child Development Family Relations. After which she was recruited to join Events & Hospitality. Since then she has gained greater experience as a professional event and logistical planner. She utilizes her organizational skills coupled with marketing competence to promote academic and non-academic workshops, programs, conferences, and institutes. It is her objective to promote the University of Maine, Maine’s only Division I university through the use of its facilities, assisting faculty to promote their research through well-arranged conferences, colloquiums, symposiums, summer camps and destination events. She specializes in international research destination conferences and some events on her docket include the Maine Special Olympics Summer Games, the Eastern Maine Sportsmen’s Show, and Geriatric Colloquium.
