Dr. Sebastian Lobe, a finance professor at the University of MaineSebastian Lobe, Ph.D.

Sebastian Lobe, Ph.D. is a Professor of Investment Education at the Maine Business School. His teaching areas include financial management, investment strategy, financial derivatives, and futures & options markets. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Regensburg, Germany (2004), and has numerous publications in the capital markets field. Dr. Lobe has served as SPIFFY’s advisor since 2016.

   

 

Director of Operations

Evan Morgan

Evan Morgan is from Scarborough, Maine. He is a senior, double majoring in Finance & Business Information Systems at the University of Maine. He has been a member of SPIFFY since 2021, holding positions such as Market Analyst for Real Estate & Materials, and Sector Head of Real Estate. He is also a member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity.

   

 

Director of Investments

John Gray

John is from Cape Elizabeth, Maine. He is a junior pursing a double major in Business Management and Finance with a concentration in Entrepreneurship. He joined SPIFFY in the fall of 2021 as a Market Analyst for Healthcare, and was the Sector Head of Consumer Staples during the 22′-23′ school year. He is also the Treasurer of the MBS Corps and hold multiple positions within the Kappa Zeta chapter of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity.

Chris Johanson

Chris Johanson is from Old Town, Maine. He is a senior at the University of Maine and is majoring in Finance with a minor in Computer Science. He first took on a leadership role with SPIFFY in 2022 as Sector Head of Foreign ETFs.

   

 

 

Chief Economist/Chief Technical Analyst

Keegan Fitzgerald

Keegan is from Rockland, Maine. He is a Senior that is triple majoring in Finance, Management, and Marketing. He joined SPIFFY in the fall of 2021 and became Sector Head of Materials in fall of 2022. Outside of school, he works as an Analyst at a Federally Covered Investment Advisor.
