The SOE Policy Advisory Committee selected William Dunham as the 2024 recipient of the Ryan Dana Wright Memorial Award (top graduating senior).

The Ryan Dana Wright Memorial Scholarship is awarded each spring to the Outstanding Graduating Senior in the School of Economics. The criteria for selection includes evidence of scholarship and character, including academic performance, public service, extracurricular activities, and other meritorious activities.

William had: a stunning grade point average of 4.0, he passed his Actuarial Exams, was a Maine Top Scholar, and participated in 2 summer internships at UNUM Group [2022: Corporate Actuarial Finance Intern; 2023: Long-Term Care (LTC) Pricing Intern], and an internship from the Senator George J. Mitchell Center for Sustainability Solutions, [Sept. 2021- May 2022: Food Rescue Intern]

The award provides a certificate, a financial bonus and his name on the Ryan Dana Wright Memorial Plaque.
