Congratulations to Outstanding SOE Graduate Student Dawn Otterby

The School of Economics (SOE) congratulates M.S. student Dawn Otterby on her successful completion of graduate studies in Resource Economics and Policy and her Outstanding SOE Graduate Student award. During her time at UMaine, Dawn assisted Dr. Andrew Crawley on multiple labor force and community development projects for the State of Maine. Dawn’s interest in regional labor markets motivated her thesis, Effects of the Minimum Wage on U.S. County Labor Markets. A variation of this thesis work is currently in review with Regional Science, Policy and Practice. Following graduation, Dawn plans to continue working with Dr. Crawley on economic development projects across the State. We are very proud of her accomplishments, wish her all the best in the years ahead, and encourage her to stay in touch. Congratulations Dawn.
