Lauren Miller successfully defends her M.S. Thesis
SOE Graduate Student Lauren Miller successfully defended her M.S. Thesis, Consumer preferences and associated price premiums for agricultural traits in Maine markets, on 4 June 2021. In her thesis research, Lauren examined consumer preferences for agricultural traits such as local and organic foods and assessed the responsiveness of agricultural producers and markets to these preferences. Lauren innovatively combined her applied microeconomics, agricultural and environmental economics, and agent-based modeling expertise to conduct her thesis research. Lauren’s thesis committee included Dr. Jonathan Malacarne (Chair), Dr. Tim Waring and Dr. Kathleen Bell. The SOE Community congratulates Lauren on her successful thesis defense. Bravo !
