Meisha Nickerson
Meisha Nickerson, MSW, LCSW, has worked in the Social Service field since 2012, serving in a range of roles since graduating from the University of Maine with her Bachelor’s of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders, with a concentration in Childhood Development. She graduated with her Master’s in Social Work in 2017 from the University of Maine, while also working full-time as a Clinician Staff Developer at Acadia Hospital. During school, Meisha worked to support community mental health needs, and specialized in education for mental health professionals in the workplace. She has also held management roles in a local Home Care and Hospice agency, and most recently as a Manager of Social Work for a Behavioral Health Home service in Bangor. Meisha has been an adjunct faculty member with the UMaine School of Social Work since 2020, and enjoys working with students of all different backgrounds to gain skills in general and clinical social work practice.
