Brittney Smith

Brittney Smith is the Coordinator of Tutoring Services in the Tutor Program. Prior to this, Brittney spent 3 years as the Assistant Director for Campus Activities & Student Engagement at UMaine. She received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with a minor is Sociology, from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. From there, she went on to get her master’s degree in Counselor Education (Student Affairs) from Clemson University in South Carolina.

Brittney’s RHA and NRHH involvement started as a hall council member when she attended UMass Amherst. Since freshman year she held multiple positions on the RHA executive board including Recruitment & Retention Chair, Associate Director, and Director. At Clemson University, Brittney served as the Graduate Assistant for Advising, advising Clemson’s RHA and NRHH for two years. In her Campus Activities role at UMaine, she served as one of the advisors for RHA. Brittney attended her first NACURH conference back in 2010 at UC San Diego. Since 2010, she has attended over 15 NACURH related conferences either as a delegate or advisor!

Brittney is thrilled to be co-advising SLC 2020! She is excited to see all the wonderful accomplishments of the conference staff and she hopes that all the NEACURH delegations will enjoy the beauty that is the state of Maine.
