Eight awards were given, in the following categories: Research (2), Research Initiation (2), and Research Infrastructure (4). The MEIF Technology sectors represented were: Advanced Technologies for Forestry and Agriculture, Aquaculture and Marine Technology, Biotechnology, Environmental Technology, Information Technology, and Precision Manufacturing Technology.
