Ramadan (Islam)

Month of fasting to commemorate first revelation of the Qur’an to Muhammad. * Not work restricted but involves daylight fasting, so work accommodations may be called for.

Hanuman Jayantī* (Hindu)

Celebration of birthday of Hanuman, foremost devotee of Sri Rama and Sita. *May involve work restrictions.

Pesach/Passover* (Judaism)

Commemorates liberation of Israelites by God from slavery in Egypt and their freedom as a nation under leadership of Moses. * Work restricted on first and last two days.

Holy Saturday (Christian)

The final day of Holy Week, between Good Friday and Easter Sunday, when Christians prepare for the latter. The day commemorates the Harrowing of Hell while Jesus Christ's body lay in the tomb.

Vesak (Buddhism)

The festival commemorates the birth, enlightenment, and death of Gautama Buddha in Theravada, Tibetan Buddhism, and Navayana.
