The Bangor Daily News advanced the annual Poets/Speak event 4–5:15 p.m. April 1 on Zoom. Kathleen Ellis, a lecturer in the English Department at the University of Maine, will emcee the event, which is sponsored by the Bangor Public Library and UMaine’s Honors College. The Bangor Daily News reported that Dominique DiSpirito, a third-year political science and Honors student at the University of Maine, is a finalist for a highly competitive Truman Scholarship.
