Maine Monitor highlights UMaine expertise in tick research
The Maine Monitor interviewed Griffin Dill, integrated pest management professional and University of Maine Cooperative Extension professor, on data points that connect tick-borne disease to warming climate. Dill said new research from UMaine Extension’s Tick Lab, which he manages, confirms the tick season is expanding in Maine and the disease babesiosis is increasingly prevalent in deer ticks. The Portland Press Herald, News Center Maine and Kennebec Journal shared the report from the Maine Monitor.
