Media cite UMaine role in Maine Offshore Wind Roadmap
In reporting on Maine Gov. Janet Mills’ new Maine Offshore Wind Roadmap, the Union of Concerned Scientists, WMTW-TV (Channel 8 in Portland) and and Offshore Wind noted the University of Maine’s role in designing floating platforms for offshore wind turbines. In launching the plan, Mills spoke from the Maine State House with a model of the University of Maine-designed floating concrete platform for wind turbines behind her.
