On-campus COVID-19 testing information for Aug. 16–30

UMaine’s phase eight, return-to-campus COVID-19 testing is Monday, Wednesday and Friday, noon–4 p.m, Aug. 16–20 in Alfond Arena. Then, return-to-campus COVID-19 testing starting Aug. 23 –30 in Alfond is 8 a.m–4:30 p.m. Employees and students who are not fully vaccinated, and those who have a vaccination exemption are required to participate in the return to campus COVID-19 asymptomatic T3 saliva testing on campus.

No appointments are necessary. Please bring your MaineCard.

Being fully vaccinated with vaccination information uploaded to PointNClick, the University of Maine System online COVID-19 vaccination verification portal, exempts members of the UMaine community from both return to campus, phase 9 weekly testing and other health and safety protocols. A person is considered fully vaccinated two weeks after the second dose of a two-dose vaccine or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine.

T3 saliva test results are typically available within 24 hours in the UMS online COVID-19 vaccination verification portal.

Students may satisfy the return-to-campus testing with an independent RT-PCR test (not antibody or rapid-antigen) sampled within 72 hours of their arrival to campus. This test result should be presented during the day of your arrival to the designated testing site personnel at Alfond Arena.

Fully vaccinated members of the UMaine community also can participate in the on-campus asymptomatic testing.

All of the latest COVID-19 health and safety guidance is online.

Information for remaining campus vaccination clinics in August and September also is online.
