Centralmaine.com, Press Herald highlight BioME Showcase award winners
Centralmaine.com and the Portland Press Herald highlighted two University of Maine Ph.D. students who won first and third place in the college division of the 2021 Bioscience Association of Maine (BioME) Student Showcase. Bond and Wilczek took first and third, respectively, in a three-minute pitch competition among graduate and undergraduate students. Both students are advised by Melissa Maginnis, a UMaine associate professor of microbiology. The students’ presentations are available online.
