Nursing students speak with media about COVID-19 vaccination effort

University of Maine students in nursing spoke with Maine news organizations about helping vaccinate residents for COVID-19. The Bangor Daily News, News Center Maine, WABI (Channel 5), WGME (Channel 13 in Portland) and WMTW (Channel 8 in Portland), all reported on the more than 250 nursing students from several University of Maine System institutions assisting with vaccine administration. “Now we go into this semester with a chance to fight back, complete our clinical training and help end the pandemic,” said Emma Moulton, a UMaine senior majoring in nursing, to the BDN. Kelley Strout, director of the UMaine School of Nursing, and UMS Chancellor Dannel Malloy also spoke with news outlets.
