Annie Hepburn
I recently graduated UMaine with a double major in New Media and Social Work.
After graduation I moved back to my hometown of Eliot, Maine, and have been engaged in freelance work.
I volunteered with a nonprofit called “Pathways Thru Aging”, where I helped design a website, logo, and social media marketing plan for the organization. I was able to attend board meetings in the early stages of the nonprofit’s development to discuss the mission statement, methods of community engagement, and funding.
At the same time, I began working as an independent contractor for a nonpartisan political podcast called “The Purple Principle”. The podcast was produced by Fluent Knowledge, a media company in Portsmouth, NH. I helped create social media graphics and helped edit their WordPress site. I had a few other projects and a possible job opportunity in Portland, but due to COVID-19 most of these projects are on hold.
I am currently working in a cafe near York beach in southern Maine while I continue to build my portfolio and job hunt.
