Research
I am a marine ecologist interested in understanding behavioral, physiological, and community-level responses to ecosystem change. Using a combination of field-based assessments, molecular tools, and laboratory-based experiments and assays, my goal is to understand the ecological responses of multiple life history stages of the American lobster (Homarus americanus) to a changing environment. My work also addresses issues of resilience for the fishery through collaborative research efforts with industry partners, resource managers, and researchers with diverse areas of expertise. As such, I am a strong proponent of collaborative research efforts and have experience leading and participating in multidisciplinary teams.
