Fulbright Study/Research Award

Created by the U.S. Congress in 1946, the Fulbright Program seeks to promote mutual understanding among nations through educational and cultural exchanges. Today, the program provides opportunities for over 900 Americans to conduct graduate study and research in more than 140 countries around the world. Most Fulbright awards are for programs of study and research requiring an academic year for completion. 

Benefits:

• Round-trip transportation to the host country
• Funding to cover room, board, and incidental costs, based on the cost of living in the host country
• Pre-departure and/or in-country orientations

Eligibility:

• Be a U.S. citizen or U.S. national
• Have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent at the start of the program

Campus Deadline: August 31st, 2024.

It is recommended that you contact Nives Dal Bo-Wheeler in early Summer about applying for the 2025-2026 award year.

National Deadline: For 2025-2026 awards, the online application will open in April of 2024. The national deadline will be in early October, 2024.
