RLE 150: Merit Scholarship Application Skills
In this spring course students learn the skills needed to apply for any merit scholarship or fellowship (to determine if they are eligible, to learn to navigate a scholarship portal, to choose their recommenders, to write strong essays, to prepare a resume, and to reflect on skills and career aspirations). The final product is a polished draft of a merit scholarship application. Skills learned in one-credit course are transferable to graduate school applications, and to future job searches.
