Dr. Leslie has taught courses in Coastal Ecology & Conservation, Marine Conservation Science & Policy, and Environmental Scholarship & Communication at multiple universities. She has supervised 17 undergraduate theses, 11 graduate theses, and 4 postdoctoral research associates.
As Director of the Darling Marine Center, she is responsible for coordinating the courses taught as part of the residential undergraduate Semester by the Sea and developing new opportunities for graduate and undergraduate education at the University of Maine’s marine laboratory. She teaches the SBS seminar, SMS 350, which focuses on professional development and life after graduation and also offers special topics graduate courses in marine conservation science.
