Cedar Gordon

Cedar is a rising senior at Michigan Technological University. She is studying Ecology and Environmental Science and Wildlife Biology with a minor in Spanish. Cedar is interested in how climate and environmental change is affecting the population dynamics of marine and terrestrial wildlife. This summer, as an intern in the Leslie Lab working with graduate student Sarah Risley, she is studying the spatial connectivity between wild intertidal oyster populations and nearby aquaculture-raised oysters in the Damariscotta River Estuary. After the summer she plans to finish her degree (expected graduation spring 2025) and take a gap year before pursuing a research-based masters degree in wildlife biology.
