Undergraduate Writing Lab
The History Writing Lab serves all undergraduate students, regardless of major, who are currently enrolled in history courses at the University of Maine. The Lab provides writing assistance to students in a welcoming, one-on-one environment during all stages of the writing process. The History Writing Lab is currently not open to graduate students. Graduate students in need of writing assistance should contact the University of Maine Writing Center.
Appointments
The History Writing Lab is open for walk-in assistance on Mondays from 11:30 AM-1 pm and Wednesdays from 12-3:30 pm in the Undergraduate Lounge, 340 Stevens Hall. If you would like to make an appointment to reserve a block of time during regular Lab hours, please email Susan Dickson-Smith, PhD student in history, who will staff the Writing Lab for the Fall 2025 semester (susan.dicksonsmith@maine.edu).
