Annie Tock

Annie Tock is an adjunct instructor in History at the University of Maine and an assistant site
supervisor for the Walhain St. Paul Project, Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium. Her research and
professional interests include collective violence, law, and space in the British Atlantic from
about 1600-1850; maritime material culture and ship construction; and medieval archaeology
and study abroad. Whenever possible, Annie tries to model her classes on the St. John’s College
method that prioritizes seminar discussions and student-led inquiry.
