Role in Graduate Student Government: Secretary

Reason behind joining the GSG as an officer: I want to strengthen the Graduate student community.

As an officer in the GSG, how would you like to contribute in such a way that you improve the situation for graduate students?: I understand the many barriers graduate students face as individuated professionals. I want to provide my skills in communication, networking, and document design to ensure all members of the Graduate student community can pursue their passions without the burdens of financial hardship or isolation. In the future, I want to streamline and broaden access to financial assistance and funding for the Graduate student community

Long Term Career Goals: I want to further my education by entering law school, or achieving a doctorate in History. My goals are to become an academic researcher or advocate for the Humanities in the non-profit sector.

Involvement in clubs and other organizations: I am an opinion contributor for Maine campus, as well as an active member of Disability on Campus.

Research at UMaine: Francophone history in the Northeast during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries; Indigenous-settler relations in Northeast Borderlands.
