Program/Department:  Marine Sciences

Why did you decide to become a GSG senator?: I actually first served as one of the GSG Grants Officer, followed by GSG President, before now serving as GSG Senator. I was drawn to serve in GSG because the value I received from the Grants Program for my research and wanted to help it run it to ensure that everyone would be able to benefit from the program. From there, I just wanted to be apart of GSG to continue to serve all graduate students.

How would you best serve your constituents?: I will best serve my constituents by bringing any concerns from my department to the Senate and ensuring that students in my department can make use of all of GSG’s resources.

Please tell us about your research or some fun facts about you: My research focused on lobster ecology, specifically how their habitat use and sheltering behavior is changing within the Gulf of Maine.

How do you plan on communicating with your constituents?: We will be sending out updates to constituents via email and working closely with the rest of the SMS Graduate Student Board.
