Reason behind joining the GSG as an officer: When I first started at UMaine, I came across GSG and immediately thought it was interesting and wanted to be a part of it! I joined GSG because I wanted to be actively involved in our graduate student body here at UMaine and want to work with my peers to improve our community!

As an officer in the GSG, how would you like to contribute in such a way that you improve the situation for graduate students?:Through joining GSG, I hope to build better connections between students and other campus organizations. My goal to enhance graduate students’ experiences both on and off-campus!

Research at UMaine: My research involves investigating mayfly populations in the Yoke Ponds region in Northern Maine.

Long Term Career Goals: After finishing up my Master’s, I hope to further my education and get my PhD. as well. Working in a laboratory setting while still being able to incorporate field work is where I hope to end up career wise in the long term.
