“Scaling Sustainable Aquaculture: How Water Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS) position Maine to lead the country in sustainable food production”
Ben Willauer is a member of the leadership team of Whole Oceans – a Maine-based company currently building one of the largest land-based recirculating aquaculture systems in the world in Bucksport, Maine. He has an extensive background in business development, portfolio management, and leadership training. Recently, he assisted with the incubation of a variety of Impact investment projects related to aquaculture, fisheries restoration, and clean technology. He co-founded the Hurricane Island Foundation’s Center for Science and Leadership and is the Trustee of the Maine Chapter of The Nature Conservancy.
