Carly Frost: Outstanding Graduate Student in Special Education (Low Incidence Disabilities)
Carly Frost (McDonald) is the 2023 Outstanding Graduate Student in Special Education (Low Incidence Disabilities). Carly is an elementary special education teacher at a Special Purpose Private School in Maine working with students with severe disabilities. She graduated from Eastern Maine Community College with a degree in medical radiography before realizing her passion was in teaching. Her need to help children with disabilities brought her to the University of Maine System. Carly graduated from the University of Maine at Augusta with a bachelor’s degree in 2018 and will be graduating from the University of Maine in 2023 with her master’s degree in special education with a concentration in low incidence disabilities.
Carly enjoys being outdoors, camping, fishing and spending time with her family. She is recently married and lives in the greater Bangor area with her husband, Triston, and their Goldendoodle, Miles.
