New publication by NRT trainee Alyssa Soucy assesses forest industry vulnerability to climate change

A new study by NRT trainee Alyssa Soucy and UMaine faculty Parinaz Rahimzadeh-Bajgiran, Sandra De Urioste-Stone, Aaron Weiskittel, and Bridie McGreavy has been published in the Journal of Forestry. Using a variety of data resources, the researchers created maps to better understand the vulnerability of Maine’s forest industry to climate change. Their findings can help determine strategies for addressing specific vulnerabilities, and the framework they developed can be adapted for other regions.
