The Cohen Institute for Leadership and Public Service will be conducting a leadership training seminar for Maine’s future law enforcement leaders. The course will provide expert training on leadership, unified command, ethics, and best practices, and will be highlighted by a staff ride to Gettysburg. Topics of discussion will include Maine law enforcement current operational environment and Joshua Chamberlain as a leader, along with leadership lessons from the Battle of Gettysburg such as command and control, communications, “the fog of war,” and logistical challenges. Law enforcement officers will graduate with new ideas, operational understanding and a professional network that will contribute to their leadership philosophy and commitment to public service.
