The All Majors Career Fair will take place on February 12th, from 10:00 am-2:00 pm in the New Balance Recreation Center at the University of Maine.

The Career Fair takes place in the New Balance Student Recreation Center (Rec Center) on the Orono campus.  Signs will direct you to unload at the Rec Center entrance, and park in the designated reserved employer parking. 

We encourage carpooling and earlier arrival to the fair. Some parking areas require some walking to the Rec Center, so we encourage making use of the employer drop-off area at the Rec Center front entrance if needed.  Signs will direct you and student volunteers will assist you with your materials.

Your 6-foot table and a continental breakfast will be ready by 8:30 am, please arrive and be set up by 9:30 am.  We ask that you bring identifying signage to display and descriptive materials to show or distribute to students about your open positions and which majors you are currently recruiting.

If you plan to ship any display materials to the fair, we urge you to do so by Monday, February 10th, and if needed please PRE-PAY & SCHEDULE A PICK-UP with your shipping company. Pick-up should be scheduled between 2:00-2:30 pm on Wednesday, February 12th, following the event from the Rec Center address. Please address your shipments and pick-up to:

The fair will begin at 10:00 am, when students will be admitted.  A catered lunch buffet will be served between 11:30 am-1:30 pm, concurrent with the fair.  The fair will conclude at 2:00pm.

When planning your attire for the fair, please be advised that the Rec Center, although heated, can get chilly at times. We encourage you to dress warmly.

If you are interested in using the Rec Center facilities before or after the fair you may do so at no charge. Tell Rec Center staff that you are a visiting Career Fair employer at the front desk and they will have you sign a waiver.

The Standard Registration Fee of $400.00 includes one table (6 feet long- dimensions ~ 72 in. long  x 30 in. wide, and 29 in. tall), two chairs, continental breakfast, and lunch for two representatives.

YES! The purpose of this fair is to educate students about career opportunities in for all majors, give advice, distribute information about your company, and answer any questions. Of course, if you anticipate openings in the future (either internships or full-time positions) you could post those with us in UMaine CareerLink and let students know how and when to apply.

The Employer dining area is in the back of the Rec Center, after the employer tables. 

A continental breakfast will be provided in the morning, including tea and coffee. 

Bottled water will be provided throughout the event. 

A catered lunch with a variety of salads, hot and cold foods, gluten free, vegetarian, and dairy free options will be provided, as well.

Access to a single electrical outlet is $75.00, and must be requested in advance, on the registration form. On-site requests will NOT be possible, as the floor layout is impacted and we are limited to how many extension cords can be set up.

Plan for representatives to take their remaining items with them at the close of the event, or representatives must pre-pay and pre-schedule a pick-up with the correct shipping LABEL with your carrier to have the shipment picked up at the close of the fair on February 12, 2025 between 2:15 -2:45 pm. We will have packing tape to seal up boxes and items scheduled for pick-up can be left at the Career Center staff table/area as you leave.

 All requests should go to Kate.axelsenfoster@maine.edu to manage the room assignments, schedules, confirmations, etc. Preference for scheduling will be prioritized for Underwriter Sponsors. Requests should be in early, and no later than January 31, 2025. Late requests will have to be scheduled following the fair. 

Parking for employers closest to the Rec Center will fill up quickly. Once that lot is full guests will be directed to the CCA and Belgrade parking lots as shown on the map in the confirmation email. A van shuttle will be available for those who need it at the Rangeley Road entrance of the CCA parking lot.
