5-DAY COURSE. Participants will be trained to prepare, prevent and respond to emergencies in an around the water. Successful completion of the course will gain participants a 2-year certification in American Red Cross Lifeguard Training, First Aid and CPR / AED for the Professional Rescuer. Successful participants will have the opportunity to interview for a life guarding position at the New Balance Student Recreation Center for Summer 2018. There is a physical prerequisite to be met for all lifeguards. Minimum age: 15 years old by course completion.
