The 2023 Career Ready Games

Overview: The Career Ready Games (CRG) is a series of “Career Ready” challenges over the course of a week. Participants have an opportunity to showcase their skills and compete on an individual and/or team basis.
Eligibility: All UMaine Students
The Challenges: The App, The Pitch, The Brand, The Motivation, The Interview, The Scenario
The Ceremony & Networking Event: Participants and Employer Supporters are invited to celebrate the closing of the 2023 CRG at the DPC Atrium on Wednesday, February 1st from 12-1:30 pm. All attendees will enjoy a catered lunch and an opportunity to connect and learn about internships and career opportunities. Prizes and awards will also be announced at the ceremony!
The Prizes:
Individual – 10 $50 Gift Card Drawing, Attendance at the Ceremony and Networking Event (2/1)
Team – Contribution to the Non-profit of the winning team’s choice (1st Place $500, 2nd Place $300, 3rd Place $200)
How it Works:
Step 1: Register by Tuesday, 1/24
*Register as an individual and have an option to affiliate with a team!
Step 2: Compete in daily challenges in Brightspace (Wednesday, January 25th – Tuesday, January 31st)
Step 3: Claim prizes during the Ceremony & Networking Event (Wednesday, February 1st)
Individuals:
Earn between 5 – 10 Points for every completed challenge
Earn an additional 25 points for completing all 6 challenges
For every 10 Points, earn 1 Ticket for the Drawing (10 $50 Gift Cards)
Teams:
The top 3 highest scoring teams receive a monetary gift for a charitable contribution to an organization of their choice.
1st = $500, 2nd = $300, 3rd = $200
