Introduction to Linux and HPC Environments

Join ARCSIM for an introductory workshop on Linux command line basics and hands-on training using high-performance computing (HPC). This workshop will focus on core concepts and tools necessary to be productive in HPC environments, such as connecting to remote servers, navigating a Linux interface using bash commands, and job submission using SLURM syntax. Open to all users, with no prior experience required.

Topics include:

  1. Navigation using the command line
  2. Common useful commands (e.g., ls, pwd, cd)
  3. Connecting to HPC remote servers
  4. Job submission using SLURM syntax
