Abstract: The University of Maine’s Aquaculture Research Institute proposes to build a state-of-the-art, 15,000-square-foot aquaculture workforce training and commercialization facility in Orono. The Sustainable Aquaculture Workforce and Innovation Center will fill a gap in the existing University of Maine infrastructure to provide much-needed training and innovation space with a focus on using real fish, real systems, and real problem-solving.
