Wabanaki reconciliation was the focus of this year’s keynote address by Esther Attean and Denise Altvater, advisers to the Maine Wabanaki-State Child Welfare Truth & Reconciliation Commission. “For me, the work of Martin Luther King was about giving everyone a voice,” Altvater said. The Portland Press Herald also mentioned the breakfast in a report on celebrations around the state.
