Robert Bayer, director of UMaine’s Lobster Institute, was interviewed for a story in the coastal Free Press newspaper about a half yellow and half blue lobster recently caught off North Haven in the Gulf of Maine. Bayer said such oddly colored lobsters are extraordinarily rare and often hermaphroditic.
