Welcome to the EWB-UMaine home page. We are a group of students with an interest in improving the quality of life for people in developing countries by working with communities on sustainable engineering projects. Students from all majors are welcome to join our group. Over spring break 2013, we completed the implementation of a community septic system project in Dulce Vivir, Honduras. We now are currently in the process of beginning a new project in the Ecuador. We took our first assessment trip to the community of La Y de la Laguna, Ecuador in August 2014, unfortunately due to underdeveloped communication channels and project scope we had to close our project with La Y. Currently we are about to open another project with a nearby community just down the road. The project is still being reviewed but will be water related. We are planning to travel to the community during the December 2015-January 2016 Christmas break.
