While now retired, I still participate in geoarchaeological research, with most of my work focusing on cultural resource heritage and how humans deal with and are influenced by landscapes and environmental factors. I am actively involved in the Maine Midden Minders, a community science program to monitor and document Maine eroding shell middens. Additionally, I am working with UMaine researchers and other colleagues on several projects in Peru.

I have been associated with the School of Earth and Climate Sciences since 1984.
