Peer Education projects focus on sex education, health and wellness, nutrition, alcohol, marijuana and other drug awareness, hazing prevention, exercise, sleep and many more.

Prior approval is required for enrollment in CHF 401: Peer Education.

Course Description
The course content will consist of theoretically-based skills and strategies associated with peer leadership and program development, including active and collaborative learning, critical thinking and problem solving, interpersonal development, and assisting peers with how to effectively and efficiently learn subject-related content.

Instructional Materials and Methods
Assignments, classroom activities and out-of-classroom activities are designed to facilitate the expected learning outcomes and objectives of the course.  Teaching format will utilize lecture, discussion, video and experiential exercises. Experiential exercises include conducting programming outside of class time.
