Key to meeting the objectives of the University of Maine’s ADVANCE project, and broader NSF program goals, is facilitating the professional development of women faculty.  Initiatives include mentoring, training, topical workshops and presentations, time management offerings, and grant funding that supports research, the formation of new collaborations, and skill development.

The Rising Tide Center may provide partial funding for on-campus  events that align with our goals related to advancing the careers of women faculty in the STEM and social-behavioral science (SBS) fields. A limited amount of funding is available for event co-sponsorship, and will be awarded on a first-come basis.
