I graduated from Colby College in May with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science and Biology. During my time at Colby, I conducted fieldwork on Hawaiian humpback whales in Maui and researched the impacts of offshore wind farm construction and operation on marine mammals. In the fall, I completed my Capstone project using eDNA techniques to determine the presence of a marine dinoflagellate in Maine. I also learned about epizootic shell disease during this research, which piqued my interest in continuing to further study lobsters and how climate change is impacting their population. I’m excited to participate in ongoing Lobster Institute projects this summer!
