Blood Drives

The University of Maine hosts 4 blood drives each year for the American Red Cross.  All drives take place at the Collins Center for the Arts, and all drives begin at 11:00 am and end at 5:00 pm.

We do accept walk-ins, but our drives tend to be very busy.  Generally, your wait will be shorter if you schedule an appointment.  To schedule an appointment to donate blood, contact the Bodwell Center at 581.3091 or um.bodwellcenter@maine.edu, call the American Red Cross at 1.800.red.cross, or visit their website – redcrossblood.org  (Use Zip Code 04469)

Needlephobic?  If you don’t want to give blood or can’t for some reason, we would love to have you volunteer!  Volunteers are scheduled in 2.5 hour shifts throughout the drive.  To sign up for the next drive, visit signupschedule.com/bodwellcenter.
