Student Volunteers Wanted for National Governors Association Meeting in Portland July 12-15
The National Governors Association is seeking students to serve as volunteers at their summer meeting, which will be hosted by Maine and Governor Janet Mills in Portland on July 12-15. There are a variety of volunteer positions available to support the event, which will bring Governors, their families and their staff from around the country to southern Maine for nonpartisan presentations and conversation about common concerns. No specific experience is needed and brief training and a volunteer appreciation dinner will be hosted at USM on Monday, July 11. While this is unpaid, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your professional skills while interacting with the chief executives of 55 states, territories and commonwealths and gaining insight into the important issues they are confronting in their states.
